As part of the "Doctors Without Fees" campaign, Al-Kafeel Hospital provides free medical services to patients in Dhi Qar

Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital has provided free medical services to patients in the Qalat Sukkar district of Dhi Qar Governorate, as part of the "Doctors Without Fees" campaign.

Hassan Al-Aredhi, head of the Hospital’s Public Relations Department, stated: "In accordance with the directives of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmed Al-Safi—and following a request from the residents of Qalat Sukkar district in Dhi Qar Governorate—the hospital’s 'Doctors Without Fees' team traveled to the district to provide medical services, in cooperation with the 'Ataa Al-Insan' (Human Giving) Foundation for Public Health."

He added, "The team included specialists in internal medicine, pediatrics, rheumatology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), dermatology, and diabetic foot care. It was also equipped with an ultrasound specialist, a mobile laboratory, and a pharmacy to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients."

Al-Aredhi explained that "the team examined a variety of medical cases; some were minor and treated on-site, while others were complex and require specialized follow-up at Al-Kafeel Hospital for further testing and necessary treatment." He noted that the campaign will continue until all patients have been examined.

Meanwhile, Dr. Naji Asaili, head of the Hospital’s Training Department, mentioned that "the campaign also included a training course designed to enhance the skills of local nursing staff. Approximately 25 trainees participated, covering techniques for treating wounds, burns, and diabetic foot conditions, as well as the proper use of medical supplies and equipment." He explained that "the course aims to train nursing staff to provide therapeutic services and reduce the need for patients to seek care at health institutions outside the governorate, in preparation for the opening of specialized clinics in the district in the near future."
