Conclusion of the closing ceremony for the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association’s activities and programs for 2026

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine concluded the closing ceremony for the 2026 activities and programs of the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association.
The ceremony was organized by the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association—affiliated with the Holy Shrine’s Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs—and spanned two days. It saw the participation of over 1,000 scouts from the Karbala and Basra governorates, held under the theme "Generations Following in the Footsteps of the Prophets."
The morning activities on the first day included the recitation of the Scout Oath, visits to the shrines of Imam Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), and the performance of an anthem dedicated to Imam Al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his holy reappearance), alongside various artistic performances and religious chants.
Evening activities featured a cultural debate among students addressing the importance of respecting parents and appreciating their role within the family, as well as warnings against being swayed by social media content that incites young people against their families.
The events were attended by students' parents, school principals, and teachers, alongside individuals interested in youth development and scouting activities.
The second day featured a variety of segments, including an Iraqi flag-raising ceremony, a scout parade, and a performance of the Al-Kafeel Scouts anthem led by Scout Leader Ahmed Shaker. The events featured the honoring of Scout leaders, representatives of Scouting organizations, academics, and religious figures, as well as official delegations from the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Education, and Youth and Sports. Also honored were department heads responsible for Scouting, sports, and youth affairs from various governorates.
The closing ceremony for the Al-Kafeel Scouts Association’s programs reflects the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine’s commitment to youth potential. It underscores the Shrine's dedication to developing students' skills, enhancing their capabilities and talents, and instilling in them educational and ethical values—along with a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. These efforts aim to prepare a conscious generation capable of assuming responsibility and serving society through diverse Scouting and educational programs.
