Conclusion of the First Coordination Forum for the Medical Services of the Holy Shrines

The Medical Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has concluded the proceedings of the first coordination forum for the medical services divisions of the holy shrines in Iraq.

The forum, held at the Imam Al-Hadi (peace be upon him) Complex, was attended by Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, a member of the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, along with several shrine officials, representatives from the Karbala Health Directorate, and members of the medical services divisions from various holy shrines across Iraq.

The forum featured an introductory film outlining its objectives and the services provided by the Medical Affairs Department. It highlighted the department’s efforts in delivering healthcare to visitors through its medical units and centers—supported by medical and health staff, as well as volunteers—who play a vital role in providing emergency care and managing urgent medical situations during large-scale Ziyarats.

The event included presentations from the medical services divisions of the holy shrines, showcasing their key activities, experiences, and operational scopes. This was followed by a discussion session focused on the challenges of medical work within these divisions, as well as opportunities for collaboration and coordination. Additionally, a dialogue session was held to propose development projects and explore mechanisms for leveraging successful experiences.

The forum aims to strengthen cooperation among the medical services divisions of the holy shrines in Iraq and facilitate the exchange of expertise, ultimately ensuring the provision of the best possible healthcare services to Ziyarats.
