The procession of the people of holy Karbala commemorated the martyrdom of the Companion Sa'id ibn Jubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) in Wasit province, with the participation of Karbala's factions, organizations, and processions, in coordination with the holy shrines of Imam al-Hussayn and Al-Abbas (peace be upon them).

The Deputy Head of the Department of Hussayni Rituals, Processions, and Bodies affiliated with the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Mr. Qasim Muhammad Al-Turfi, said: "The two holy shrines provided 60 coaster-type vehicles for the mourners participating in the procession, to transport them from the city of Karbala to Wasit, in addition to providing ice and health escorts for the visitors."

He added that the Rituals Department took charge of organizing and supervising the commemoration of this sorrowful occasion, and the procession is part of the mourning events held by the people of Karbala in collaboration with the holy shrine, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversaries of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
