The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine extends an invitation to the Askariyayn Holy Shrine to participate in the first Coordinating Forum for Medical Affairs

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine extended an invitation to the Askariyayn Holy Shrine to participate in the first coordinating forum for the holy shrines.

The Medical Affairs Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is organizing the forum on Friday, October 23, 2026, with the participation of the medical departments and divisions affiliated with the holy shrines in Iraq.

The assistant head of the department, Mr. Maher Khaled, said, "A delegation from the department visited the Askariyayn holy shrine, during which they extended an invitation to participate and discussed the forum's agenda and topics, which focus on enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between the medical institutions affiliated with the holy shrines, and the ways to improve the level of healthcare and treatment provided to the visitors."

He added that "the delegation visited the Martyr Makki Dasher Medical Center affiliated with the Askariyayn Holy Shrine, to observe the nature of the services provided to visitors and to learn about the capabilities of its medical units, which include dentistry, emergency services, pharmacy, optics, minor surgeries, radiology, and laboratory."

For his part, the head of the Medical Affairs Department at the Askariyayn Holy Shrine, Mr. Ali Al-Jiyashi, explained, "We received an invitation to participate in the first coordinating forum for the medical departments of the holy shrines, aimed at exchanging ideas and proposals and enhancing coordination and communication between the medical departments, which contributes to the development of medical services provided to visitors during the major Ziyarats and religious events."

He explained that "the forum will be held annually in rotation between the holy shrines, with the aim of exchanging experiences, discussing observations and challenges, and working together to provide the best health and therapeutic services for the visitors."

This visit comes as part of the preparations for holding the forum, contributing to the exchange of experiences and the unification of efforts between the holy shrines, and enhancing the level of health and medical services provided to the visitors.
