The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine prepares to open the Al-Qasab rest area for families in Karbala

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine is preparing to open the Al-Qasab Rest House for families on the Najaf-Karbala road.

The opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at its location on the Najaf-Karbala road, opposite the city of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) for visitors.

The project manager, Mr. Amir Hussein, said: The project has reached its final stages, in preparation for its opening, explaining that it extends over a total area of ​​63 dunums, and includes large green spaces, as well as a variety of recreational and service facilities.

He added that the project includes 63 family sessions, games for children, a bird park, a horse riding arena, as well as a lake designated for fishing, markets and restaurants, in addition to a group of recreational games, including trains, bicycles, electric carts, and watercrafts.

Hussein stated that the project contains 14 fountains, including a main fountain with a height of 30 meters, and is witnessing the completion of the final touches, to constitute a new addition to the service projects implemented by the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, and an entertainment destination that meets the needs of families and provides them with a complete outlet.
