The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine showcased more than 780 publications by participating in the 27th session of the Baghdad International Book Fair, through a unified pavilion that brings together several of its departments and knowledge, cultural, and educational institutions.
The head of the holy shrine's pavilion at the exhibition, Mr. Muhammad Al-Araji, said: "The pavilion displays more than 780 diverse publications, including encyclopedias, peer-reviewed journals, religious and doctrinal books, as well as knowledge-based, humanitarian, and educational publications."
He added that what distinguishes the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's pavilion is that all the displayed publications are the product of the holy shrine, starting from the research stages up to printing and publishing, which showcases the scale of the scientific and intellectual project undertaken by its specialized institutions and departments.
He explained that the participation includes several departments and institutions within a unified pavilion, among them the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs, the Supreme Authority for Heritage Revival, the Department of Islamic and Human Sciences, the Scientific Academy of the Holy Quran, and the Al-Wafi Documentation and Studies Foundation, collectively presenting a bouquet of scientific and cultural outputs.
Al-Araji pointed out that this year's participation sees the addition of approximately 150 new publications compared to the previous participation, with the most notable new releases being the book "Dua Abu Hamza Al-Thumali" explained by the esteemed scholar Sayed Ahmad Al-Safi, in addition to the "Mausouat Al-Masabih" and "Mausouat Fatwa Al-Difa Al-Kafa'i," as well as several peer-reviewed and specialized journals.
He explained that the pavilion includes various periodical publications, among them Al-Ameed Magazine, Al-Bahir Magazine, Tasleem Magazine, and the magazines of the Childhood and Youth Division affiliated with the Intellectual Affairs Department, in addition to other knowledge products that reflect the diverse interests of the participating institutions in the pavilion.
Al-Araji confirmed that the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's pavilion witnessed a significant turnout in recent days from visitors and those interested in cultural and intellectual matters, who showed interest in the displayed publications and what the holy shrine offers in terms of diverse scientific and cultural output.
This participation comes as part of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's presence in cultural and intellectual forums, and its keenness to make the outputs of its scientific and intellectual institutions available to a wide audience of readers, researchers, and enthusiasts, thereby enhancing the presence of specialized books and knowledge in the cultural scene.
