The Green Belt: Construction work on 21 seating areas at the Lady Khadija (peace be upon her) rest area has reached its final stages

The First Southern Green Belt Department has confirmed that the construction of 21 family seating areas at the Lady Khadija al-Kubra (peace be upon her) Rest Area has reached its final stages.
The head of the department, Mr. Nasser Hussein Muta’ab, stated: "Our specialized teams have reached the final stages of completing 21 family seating areas at the Lady Khadija al-Kubra (peace be upon her) Rest Area, located within the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) Oasis No. 3—a site spanning more than 22 dunams."
He added: "The Green Belt comprises eight recreational oases, each named after a member of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). These oases contain four rest areas, featuring a total of over 82 seating units with diverse designs."
Muta’ab explained: "The construction work involved implementing a variety of designs—ranging from seating areas nestled within green spaces to rustic-style structures resembling reed huts. The process also included site selection, land preparation and layout, and the execution of infrastructure work, such as pouring and lining floors with polyethylene, constructing retaining walls, and equipping the seating areas with furnishings, cooling systems, lighting, and other amenities."
He noted: "These efforts are intended to provide comfort for families visiting the Green Belt oases, offering a unique recreational environment that combines relaxation with the beauty of nature."
