The Grid Manufacturing Department is conducting maintenance work on the grid of the Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) basement at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine

The Department for the Manufacture of Shrines’ Grids and Doors at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has carried out maintenance work on the grid of the basement of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him), located within the Holy Shrine.

Muslim al-Rubaie, head of the department’s Grid Cleaning Unit, stated: "Our unit’s staff regularly performs maintenance on the grids at the Holy Shrine—including the one for the basement of Imam Mohammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him)—to preserve their splendor and aesthetic appeal, highlight their intricate artistic details, and ensure they appear in their finest form."

He added: "The work was conducted using specialized materials—applied periodically to the metals that adorn the exterior of the sacred grid, such as gold and silver—to meticulously and carefully safeguard their artistic value, luster, and shine."

These efforts are part of the department’s commitment to the ongoing care and periodic maintenance of the Holy Shrine’s grids and doors, in accordance with a pre-established and organized work plan.
