The judging committee for the eighth National Al-Furqan Competition confirms the adoption of precise criteria for evaluating the performance of the contestants

The judging committee for the eighth National Al-Furqan Competition confirmed the adoption of precise standards and criteria for evaluating the memorizers' performances and determining the final results.

The competition was organized by the Women's Quran Institute, affiliated with the Office of the Senior Official of Women's Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.

Committee member, Ms. Ithmar Hassan, stated, "The competition witnessed advanced levels of memorization, with varying aspects of performance, which necessitated close monitoring of the participants' performances during the testing sessions."

She added, "The committee based its evaluation of the contestants on the quality of memorization, rules of Tajweed (Quranic recitation), proper pauses and starting points, as well as melody and voice, thus allowing for a comprehensive assessment of Quranic performance."

She noted that "the committee ensured the clarity of the evaluation criteria and the scoring mechanism for the participants before the competition began, guaranteeing the clarity of the testing standards and the aspects upon which the evaluation is based."

The competition concluded with the selection of the winners in the three memorization categories. The results yielded nine winners, with three winners in each category.
