The second day of the second preliminary international scientific conference to commemorate the millennium of the Najaf Ashraf Hawza has commenced

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched the activities of the second day of the second preliminary international scientific conference to commemorate the millennium of the Najaf Ashraf Hawza.

The conference is organized by the Sheikh Al-Tusi Center for Studies and Research, affiliated with the Supreme Authority for the Revival of Heritage at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in collaboration with the Al-Ameed Scientific and Intellectual Association, the Kufa and Kafeel Universities, and the Imam Al-Kadhem (peace be upon him) College/Departments of Najaf, under the title: "The Scientific and Intellectual Contribution of the Najaf Hawza from the 9th to the 12th Century AH." It is part of the celebration of the millennium of the scientific Hawza, which is held under the auspices of the holy shrines in Iraq, and will continue on Thursday and Friday.

The events of the second day are held at Al-Kafeel University, and they include two morning research sessions. The first session discusses five scientific papers in the field of jurisprudence and its principles, while the second session is dedicated to discussing five other papers in the field of theology and rational sciences.

The events will feature two evening research sessions. The first session will include discussions on four research papers in the field of Quranic sciences and Arabic language, while the second session will involve discussions on four research papers in the field of Hadith sciences. The events will conclude with the honoring of researchers and the organizing and participating entities.

The celebration of the thousandth anniversary of the establishment of the Najaf Ashraf Hawza, coinciding with the anniversary of Sheikh Abu Ja'far Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Tusi's (may his soul rest in peace) arrival in this holy city in the year 448 AH, represents an opportunity to highlight the civilizational and scientific role of Najaf Ashraf and its blessed Hawza, and to shed light on its historical and cultural contributions to the Islamic nation's journey.
