The Supreme Authority for Heritage Revival organizes a specialized course on the editing of heritage texts and manuscripts.

The Supreme Board for Heritage Revival at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine organized a specialized course titled "An Introduction to Heritage Editing."

The course was conducted by the Sheikh Al-Tusi Center for Studies and Research—which operates under the Supreme Board—in collaboration with the Mudrik Center for Development and Islamic Studies (part of the Dar Al-Hikma Foundation in Najaf). The program spanned three days.

Dr. Abdul-Hakim Al-Safi, the course instructor, stated: "The course was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the field of heritage and manuscript editing. It introduced the mechanisms used in this discipline and the key steps involved in the editing process—ranging from handling manuscripts and verifying texts to drafting the editor’s introduction, compiling scholarly indices, and addressing other essential requirements of the editorial craft."

He added that the course aimed to highlight the importance of reviving the manuscript heritage of our prominent scholars. It explored scholarly methods for preserving this vast intellectual legacy and preparing it for publication, thereby ensuring that our scientific heritage is safeguarded and passed on to future generations.

Al-Safi further noted that the lectures—held for three hours daily over the three-day period—focused on providing a broad perspective on text editing and the revival of manuscript heritage. The sessions covered various aspects of the editorial process, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the methodologies, procedural steps, and practical applications involved in this field.
