The Women's Quranic Institute concludes the eighth edition of the Furqan National Competition.

The Women's Quranic Institute, affiliated with the Office of the Religious Authority for Women's Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, concluded the eighth edition of the National Furqan Competition in the holy city of Najaf.
Dr. Israa Al-Akraoui, a member of the preparatory committee for the competition, said: "The competition witnessed the participation of 52 female memorizers from 6 Iraqi governorates, who presented distinguished levels in memorization and performance, and participated in the three categories of Quran memorization: 30 (Juza') parts, 20 parts, and 15 parts."
She added that "the participants represented a number of holy shrines and Quranic institutions, in addition to the students of the institute and its centers and branches, which added diversity to the participation and allowed the gathering of memorizers with different experiences and levels within a single competition."
Al-Akraoui explained that "holding Quranic competitions aims to elevate the level of female memorizers and solidify their memorization, in addition to preparing them to participate in national and international Quranic events and competitions, and enhancing the presence and leadership of women in this field."
The competition comes as part of the efforts of the Women's Quranic Institute in serving the Holy Book of Allah, encouraging the memorizers to excel and perfect their recitation, and elevating their levels in memorization and recitation.
