Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Library Participates in the Third Specialized International Conference on Information and Libraries

The Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Women's Library—affiliated with the Office of the Senior Official for Women's Affairs at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine—participated in the Third Specialized International Conference on Information and Libraries by hosting a book exhibition.

Ms. Asmahan Ibrahim, the library's director, stated that the participation involved organizing a book exhibition featuring religious and cultural publications. Running from October 13 to 15, 2026, the event serves as an opportunity to explore specialized academic experiences in the fields of information and library science and to learn about modern methods for organizing and managing knowledge resources.

She added that the conference facilitates networking with female researchers, specialists, and participating libraries, as well as the exchange of expertise in areas such as cataloging, information systems, and digital transformation. It also offers insight into the latest academic developments that contribute to the advancement of library operations.

Ibrahim explained that participating in these events helps introduce the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Library and its knowledge resources to a wider audience and expands communication with entities involved in the information and library sectors, thereby supporting the improvement of its services and the fulfillment of its patrons' needs.
