Using animation techniques, the Media Department hosts the premiere of the film *The Water Trilogy*
The Media Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held the premiere of the film *Water Trilogy* (Thulathiyat al-Ma'), produced using 3D animation technology to highlight significant episodes in Islamic history.
Mr. Ahmed Talib Abdul-Amir, Director of the Al-Joud Animation Center (affiliated with the department), stated that production began in early 2024 and spanned approximately two and a half years, involving a specialized team of 15 staff members from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine.
He explained that the film consists of three chapters: the first recounts the story of Lady Hajar (peace be upon her) and her son Ishmael (peace be upon him) in a barren valley, and her quest for water; the second chapter depicts the story of Abdul-Muttalib (peace be upon him) and the excavation of the Well of Zamzam, highlighting the ridicule he faced from society and his persistence in digging until he discovered the well; and the third chapter addresses the stance of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) regarding water—specifically when he regained control of the Euphrates River but did not deny his adversaries access to it, in stark contrast to how they had treated him.
Abdul-Amir noted that the premiere was attended by the production team and various artists, serving as a tribute to their efforts in creating this artistic work.
The production of *Water Trilogy* is part of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's ongoing efforts to utilize art and modern technology to present historical and humanitarian themes inspired by Islamic heritage through animation.
