The Family Counseling Center affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Baghdad branch, commenced in-person sessions for the 4th batch of the awareness-building qualifying course titled "Crowns of Modesty." Designed for young girls reaching the religious age of accountability (Takleef), the program features the participation of more than 100 girls born in the year 2018. The initiative is held in celebration of the birth anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahraa (peace be upon her), as part of awareness efforts aimed at establishing religious consciousness and promoting the concepts of the veil (Hijab) and acts of worship among the youth.
Counselor at the center, Nabaa Al-Hassani, stated in a press release obtained by the (Official Website) that "following the example of the lady of modesty and veil, Fatima al-Zahraa (peace be upon her), and in celebration of her birth anniversary on the 20th of the month of Jamadi al-Akhir, and after reaching full capacity, the Family Counseling Center (Baghdad branch) affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine initiated the in-person qualifying course for girls who have reached the religious age of accountability, with more than 100 participants enrolled in the 'Crowns of Modesty' course."
She explained that "the course activities, held under the slogan 'My Journey to the World of Accountability.. I Am a Princess in My Hijab,' included a series of educational lectures delivered by counselor Nabaa Al-Hassani, featuring a detailed explanation of adornment display (Tabarruj), its causes, and its impacts on the girl and society. This was accompanied by presenting purposeful videos on the importance of the Hijab and practical demonstrations of the proper way to perform ablution (Wudu), alongside teaching participants the rules of prayer and the correct method for its performance, thereby contributing to building firm religious knowledge among the girls."
She added that "these courses are not limited to providing information and religious rulings alone, but extend to serve as an educational and guiding space to mold a promising generation that derives its path from the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), taking their blessed teachings as a way of life to remain steadfast in their faith, proud of their Hijab, and aware of their responsibilities in building society."
This course comes as part of an integrated program adopted by the Family Counseling Center at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to nurture girls at the age of accountability, reinforce faith and moral values, and prepare them intellectually and behaviorally to face intellectual and social challenges.
