What is the Seclusion (Al-I’tikaf)?
Answer
In the name of Allah, seclusion is to stay at a central mosque in the town and to fast for three days. It is preferred to be the last third of Ramadhan. The secluding person must not go out of the mosque unless he wants to go to the washroom or he is obliged to have ghusl. He has also other commitments which are detailed in our Risala Amalyia (Tawdheehul Masa’el), Al-Deen A;-Qaiyem, Minhaj Al-Saliheen and Mustafal Deen Al-Qaiyem. Allah is the all Guide.
