What is the meaning of (worshippers) in the second [tashahud] salutation of prayer? Who are the believers in the third salutation of the prayer? Are they the living or the dead, or both?
Answer
In the name of Allah, the worshippers include all the prophets, messengers, imams (PBUT) and others. The third salutation is, as what we have decided, that if the person praying alone, it is to salute the two angels on his right and left, and if he is in a congregation prayer, it is to salute angels and those who pray with him in the congregation. Allah knows best.
