I married a deflowered, divorced woman. Now her parents demanding me to divorce her, will she deserve the whole or half of the dowry? Kindly, explain and detail the issue?

Answer

In the name of Allah, be advised, my son, that divorce is the most disliked permissible act. If you are able to keep your marriage with this woman, as this decision is under your hand, you can keep your wife to have pleasure with her and for her to have pleasure with you. However, if you divorce her, her right shall be half of the dowry before copulation, and the whole dowry after copulation. Allah knows best.

In the name of Allah, this is not permissible, unless you are certain of the husband's death, or the religious ruler shall divorce them. Allah knows best.

Answer

In the name of Allah, if the wife is certain of divorce occurrence, she is free after the waiting period in case she has to commit to a waiting period. As for others, men and women, no one should enforce divorce rulings except in one of the two cases: a. one is categorically certain of divorce occurrence and the husband did not reconsider the decision of divorce when there was a time of reconsideration. b. one can make the husband acknowledge the divorce by all means. Allah knows best.
