In the name of Allah, the example mentioned in the noble verse is for the hypocrites –Allah knows best. It is a statement and clarification of the one who exerts himself without looking at the consequences of his work and depends on his work only without paying attention to the One Who gave him this ability and benefit. And Allah Almighty - Allah knows best - refers in the honorable verse to those who kindle the fire, that is, strive to reach the kindling of fire, to enjoy it to ward off the cold and other benefits, and he was unaware of the Creator Who bestowed blessings upon him. If Allah, Almighty, extinguishes that fire, then man will remain in darkness, then he will know his inability before the power of Allah, glory be to Him. The good light means the light that originates from the fire, but if fire and other existents are not accompanied with faith in Allah, their harm becomes greater than their benefit. The verse describes the hypocrites who strived for some deeds with uncertainty about Allah Almighty, so their efforts went unheeded and became firewood for Hell.
