In the chapter of Al-Fath, verse 18: “Allah was pleased with the believers when they swore allegiance to you under the tree and He knew what was in their hearts. Therefore, He sent down tranquility upon them and rewarded them with a victory close by.” What is the story of this verse? What is meant by believers, because the ones who hate Ahlulbait (PBUH) claim that this verse was revealed for Abu Bakir?
Answer
the name of Allah, the most important book which explains this verse and is reliable for Sunni is “Aldurl Manthoor”. This book has not mentioned what you have just referred to. On the other hand, the verse implicates that Allah is pleased with the believers on a condition that the believers are the ones who believe in their heart and mind, where amongst the fundamentals of faith is to pledge homage to Imam Ali ibin Abu Talib (PBUH). Allah is the all Guide and Knowing.
