There is a group of Quranic verses which proves that Allah, no one else, possess everything. One of the verses is: “for Allah everything in heavens and earth glorifies. Allah has the dominion. For Allah all the praise, He is capable of everything”. There is another group of Quranic verse which proves that the dominion is not only for Allah. One of such verses are: “my lord, you have given me from dominion and taught me how to interpret the Hadiths.” How to deal with these two groups? Are the people who say that the dominion is not attributed to Allah considered Infidels?

In the name of Allah, the first group refers to the complete power of Allah as He is the only constant existent and from Him all the things came into being, and heavens and earth have been established. As for the power and dominion for other than Him, it is a grant from Allah the exalted. The exact interpretation for it in the second group is that Allah authorizes some of the creatures to serve human beings. Therefore, power will be for other than Allah, but it is restricted and limited from Allah the exalted. Therefore, the power of those other than Allah as that of the prophet (PBUH&HF), the Imams (PBUH) or the religious rulers is limited and it is authorized from Allah as stated in some Quranic verses. Accordingly, the contradiction between the two groups is faded away. Allah is the all Guide and Knowing.
