When we sit in the public transport bus and people older than us, for example, at the age of 30, 40 or 50, come and do not find a place to sit and stay standing, what is our moral duty toward them?

In the name of Allah, if the strong one can allow the weak one to sit in his place, it is a good deed and will be rewarded. But if he does not, he is deprived of reward. However, he did not do a forbidden deed as in the question. Allah knows best.
