What is the ruling of smoking as a start for young people.

In the name of Allah, We have explained in our fatwas some time ago that if a good doctor decides that smoking is harmful, the person should stop smoking totally. Moreover, we said that a person who is not accustomed to smoking it is not permissible for him to make himself accostumed, and if the habituation occurs and the doctor forbids him, then he must abstain, and if the doctors state that it is not harmful - for example - then the habitant may continue. However, starting the habit of smoking is not permissible. Allah knows best.
