There is a customary condition in Iraqi society that the wife does the chores in her husband's family home as long as they reside in the husband's family home. Does this condition make it obligatory for her to do the chores in her husband's family home, or does the ruling of non-obligation remain?

In the name of Allah, if the spouses and the father-in-law or the grandfather of the wife, if she is unmarried, as well as the person responsible for the contract between them, acknowledge this fundamental condition, then it is valid. Allah knows best.
