Regarding temporary marriage (mut'a), if the man does not specify a definite period in the contract but they agree that the period is contingent upon the arrival of the wife's mother to the house, and when she arrives, the period ends. What is the ruling of such a marriage? Is it valid, invalid, or does it always convert to permanent marriage?

In the name of Allah, it does not always convert to permanent marriage. If the duration is specified by the arrival of the girl's mother and her arrival is determined and temporary, then the duration is specified, and the contract ends when that period expires, even if the mother does not come. If her arrival is not specified, the contract is invalid. Likewise, if the duration is not set, it does not always convert to permanent marriage. And Allah knows best.
