What is the ruling on fasting if one eats before the fast and: 1.Knows that something remains between the teeth. 2.Suspects that something might remain between the teeth—even after cleaning— with the possibility of swallowing it unintentionally?
Answer
In the name of Allah, if a person deliberately swallows anything during the day, their fast is invalid, and they must make it up and offer expiation. It is not permissible to leave anything between the teeth if one knows or suspects that it might enter the throat during fasting. Allah knows best.
