What is the position of Islamic criminal jurisprudence when a woman beats her husband or one of her children in a sever way when they commit an obscene act such as fornication (may Allah keep it away from you), or an immoral relationship with others through the social media like sending photos in an indecent and exposed manner or having sexual words?
Answer
In the name of Allah, the sharia does not allow the wife to beat the husband. Yes, she is like the rest of the believers in that she must committed to the obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil. As for her task towards her children, it is to be under raising and enjoining good and forbidding evil only and must not exceed the necessary limitation. Allah knows best.
