1.What is the criterion and standard for accepting an invitation to eat when I am fasting a recommended fast? Does the invitation apply regardless of what I am invited to, whether a piece of candy, a glass of water, dates and milk, or some fruit? Or does it have to be a meal or feast, and not something simple like a small amount of food or drink is not enough? 2.Is it required that the inviter be a Twelver Shia believer, or is it sufficient to accept the invitation even if the inviter follows a different Islamic sect?
Answer
1: In the name of Allah, the invitation is considered valid even if it is for offering water to a believer with the intention of earning reward and merit. Allah knows best. 2: In the name of Allah, the ruling applies specifically when the inviter is a Twelver Shia believer. Allah knows best.
