If someone vows to perform a specific act should a sick person recover, and after the patient’s recovery the person forgets what act he had vowed to do; whether it was fasting, performing an ‘umrah, praying, giving charity, or something else. What should he do?
Answer
In the name of Allah, he should be patient and reflect until Allah, the Most Compassionate and Merciful, reminds him of it. However, if his uncertainty is limited to a few specific acts that he is capable of performing, then he must perform all of them. Allah knows best.
