Hadith 6-31

حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الحَسَنِ القَطَّانُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا القَطَّانُ، قالَ: حَدَّثَنا بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قالَ: حَدَّثَنا الفَضْلُ بْنُ الصَقْرِ العَبْدِيِّ، قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُو مُعاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبايَةَ بْنِ رِبْعِيّ، عَنْ عَبْدِاللَّه بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَنَا سَيِّدُ النَبِيِّين وَعَلِىُّ بْنُ أَبي طالِب سَيِّدُ الوَصِيِّين وَإِنَّ أَوْصِيائِي بَعْدي اثْنا عَشَرَ، أَوَّلُهُم عَلِىُّ بْنُ أَبي طالِبٍ وَآخِرُهُمُ الْقائِمُ.

Ahmad ibn Al-Hassan al-Qattan narrated that Ahmad ibn Yahya bin Zakariya al-Qattan quoted on the authority of Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Habib, on the authority of Al-Fadhl ibn al-Saqr al-Abdi, on the authority of Abu Mo’awiya, on the authority of al-A’amesh, on the authority of Abaya ibn Reb’ee, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abbas that God’s Prophet (S) said, “I am the Master of the Prophets, and Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) is the Master of the Trustees. The Trustees after me are twelve, the first of whom is Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) and their last one is the Riser.”
