Hadith 6-33

حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْراهيمَ بْنِ إِسْحاقَ الطَّالِقانِيُّ رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَمّامٍ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّه بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الحِمْيَريُّ، عَنِ الحَسَنِ بْنِ مُوسَى الخَشَّابِ، عَنْ أَبي المُثَنّى النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْد بْنِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ‏عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: كَيْفَ تَهْلِكُ اُمَّةٌ أَنَا وَعَلِيٌّ وَأَحَدَ عَشَرَ مِنْ وُلْدِي اُولُوالأَلْبابِ أَوَّلُها، وَالمَسِيحُ بْنُ مَرْيَمَ آخِرُها، وَلكِن يَهْلِكَ بَيْنِ ذلِكَ مَنْ لَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَلَيْسَ مِنِّي.

Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ishaq al-Taliqani - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Hamam Abu Ali quoted on the authority of Abdullah ibn Ja’far al-Hemyari, quoted on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Musa al-Khashshab, on the authority of Abil Muthanna an-Nakha’ee, on the authority of Zayd ibn Ali ibn Al-Husayn, on the authority of his father Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), on the authority of his father (a.s.) that God’s Prophet (S) said, “How can a nation that begins with me, Ali and eleven of my progeny who are all men of Understanding and ends with the Messiah - the son of (the Blessed Lady) Mary (a.s.) - perish? However, in the meantime anyone who does not belong to my nation, and I am not associated with will perish.”
