Hadith 22-1

حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمن القُرَشِي الْحاكِم قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُوبكر مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خالِد بن الحَسَن المطوعي البخاري قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبي داوُدِ بِبَغْداد قالَ: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ حرب الملائي قالَ: حَدَّثَنا أَبُو الصَّلْتِ الهَرَوِيِّ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا عَلِىِّ بْنِ مُوسَى الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّد عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ مُحَمَّد عَلِيِ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ الحُسَيْن‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِى‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ عَلِىِّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِب‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ الإِيمَانُ إِقْرَارٌ بِاللِّسَانِ وَمَعْرِفَةٌ بِالْقَلْبِ وَعَمَلٌ بِالأَرْكَانِ.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abdurrahman al-Qurashi al-Hakim narrated that Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Khalid ibn Al-Hassan al-Motawwa’iy al-Bokhari quoted on the authority of Abu Bakr ibn Abi Dawood in Baghdad, on the authority of Ali ibn Harb al-Mulla’ee, on the authority of Abu Salt al-Harawi, on the authority of Ali ibn Musa Al-Ridha’ (a.s.), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ja’far ibn Muhammad (a.s.), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.), on the authority of his father Al-Husayn ibn Ali (a.s.), on the authority of his father Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) that God’s Prophet (S) said, “Faith is recognition by the heart, expression by the tongue and enacting by the body parts.”
