Hadith 31-103

وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ عَلِىُّ بْنِ أَبِي طالِبٍ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ: لا اعتِكافَ إِلاّ بِالصَّومِ.

According to the same documentation, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) said, “No one can go into seclusion in the mosque without fasting.”
