Hadith 31-13

وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ‏ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: سِتَّةٌ مِنَ المُرُوءَةِ؛ ثَلاثَةٌ مِنْها في الحَضَرِ ثَلاثَةٌ مِنْها فِي السَّفَرِ فَأَمَّا الَّتِي فِي الحَضَرِ فَتِلاوَةُ كِتابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؛ وَعِمارَةُ مَساجِدِ اللَّهِ، وَاتِّخاذُ الإخوانِ فِي اللَّهِ، وَأَمَّا الَّتِي فِي السَّفَرِ فَبَذلُ الزَّادِ وَحُسنُ الْخُلْقِ وَالمُزاحُ فِي غَيْرِ المَعاصِي.

According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Six things are due to manliness: three when you are staying and three for when you are traveling. The ones for when you are staying include reciting the Honorable the Exalted God’s Book, improving God’s mosques and finding friends in the way of God. The ones for when you are traveling include giving charity out of what you have taken along with you and joking in ways not to be committing any sins.”
