Hadith 31-97

وَبِهذَا الإِسنادِ قالَ: قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ: إِنَّ العَبْدَ لَيَنالُ بِحُسنِ خُلقِه دَرَجَةَ الصّائِمِ القائِمِ.

According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “A servant (i.e. a person) will attain the rank of one who fasts and stays up at night through being good-tempered.”
