Hadith 30-6

وَبِهذَا الإسناد عَنِ الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، عَن أَبيهِ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَر عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ: قالَ الصَّادِق‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ: كَمْ مِمَّنْ كَثُرَ ضَحِكُهُ لاعِباً يَكْثُرُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بُكَاؤُهُ وَكَمْ مِمَّنْ كَثُرَ بُكَاؤُهُ عَلَى ذَنْبِهِ خَائِفاً يَكْثُرُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ سُرُورُهُ وَضَحِكُهُ.

According to the same documentation, it has been narrated on the authority of Al-Ridha’ (a.s.), on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far (a.s.) that As-Sadiq (a.s.) said, “There are many who laugh having fun, but will cry a lot on the Resurrection Day. There are many who cry due to fear for the sins they have committed, and will be laughing a lot on the Resurrection Day and in Paradise.”
