If a person performing wudu (ablution) wipes their head from bottom to top or from one side to the other, does this invalidate their wudu, whether they are aware of it or not?

In the name of Allah, in my opinion, the wudu is valid, whether the person is ignorant or knowledgeable. However, it is preferable to follow the correct method, which is to wipe the head from top to bottom. Allah knows best.
