It has been proven that inserting this testimony into the call to prayer and the iqaamah - practically - does not invalidate the considered unity in them. Therefore, this has become a symbol of the Shiite region in which this call to prayer is raised and there is a great promised reward for this testimony. Therefore, the eminent scholars throughout history have allowed it. Furthermore, those who leave it are considered to be outside Shiism according to the Shiite tradition. Allah knows best.

Based on this, in addition to other evidence, we have issued the fatwa that the third testimony is recommended in the Athan and Iqama but without the intention that it is part of either of them.
