In matters of obligatory precaution, it is permissible to refer to another more knowledgeable scholar. Is this permissible before acting, or does the permission extend even if I have already acted based on precaution and then, in the second instance, decide to refer to another scholar?
Answer
In the name of Allah, it is permissible in both cases. Allah knows best.

1- Is it permissible to follow a deceased religious scholar (religious authority) as a start? 2- Is it permissible to remain on the taqlid (following) of a deceased religious scholar?
Answer
In the name of Allah, it is well-known and widely accepted that His Eminence, religious scholar Al-Najafy (may Allah prolong his life), does not permit following a deceased religious scholar as a start, nor remaining on his taqlid, even if the deceased was more knowledgeable than the living religious scholar. Allah knows best.
