In the name of Allah, it is obligatory to follow the most knowledgeable living scholar and there can only be one who is the most knowledgeable. However, if it is established that one scholar is more knowledgeable than the others in a significant portion of jurisprudence, and another scholar is more knowledgeable in another portion, then the most knowledgeable should be followed in the area where they are the most knowledgeable. However, such a situation is rare and may not have ever existed. Allah knows best
