If a woman applies modern cosmetic products to her face, is it permissible for her to appear in public before non-mahram men in that state? And is it permissible for her to wear kohl or a ring and display them before non-mahram men?
Answer
In the name of Allah, according to my view, a woman must cover her entire body, including the face and hands with a covering that conceals both the skin and the form of the body. This is obligatory unless she is compelled to uncover her face. However, if she is compelled to do so, it is not permissible for her to apply adornments such as kohl or cosmetics on her face. Allah is the Guide and the All-Knowing.
