What is the ruling on beating a student? What is your advice to teachers in this regard?

In the name of Allah, the teacher is like a parent in education, furthermore the loyal teacher in religious education is more honorable than the father. But, the teacher should not strike unless he knows that it is necessary and is limited to the least that can be done with it. Allah is the all Guide and Knowing.
